2D CFD Solver — Grid Bump & Half-Cylinder Flows

A MATLAB-based 2D flow solver written from scratch for structured-grid CFD coursework.

Description

I wrote a 2D flow solver in MATLAB to better understand the numerical methods behind commercial CFD tools. Using structured grids for grid-bump and half-cylinder geometries, I implemented Green-Gauss gradient reconstruction and Gauss-Seidel iterative methods.

The most valuable part was debugging convergence issues. Boundary condition mistakes and gradient reconstruction errors produced unrealistic flow fields, forcing careful verification before generating pressure and velocity visualizations.
